NAFTA Shall be Managed by Mr Martin Bartošovič Starting in October

Already during his university studies of economics and management, Mr Martin Bartošovič completed scholarship stays at West Virginia University in Morgantown in the USA and A. Mellon and G. Soros Foundations at the Institute of Economic Studies in Nitra. Following his graduation in 1996, he worked in ING Barings and in A. T. Kearney from 1998 where he was involved in projects for renowned international financial institutions and energy and transportation businesses. From 2004, he worked in SPP, gaining valuable experience as the head of corporate affairs division, as the chairman of the board of directors of SLOVGEOTERM, member of the board at EkoFond, non-investment fund, member of the board of directors at SPP-distribúcia and chairman of the supervisory board of the SPP Foundation.

He is intending to use his rich experience for further development of key activities of NAFTA. „Nafta has an important place in the Slovak energy business and so it will be necessary to continue develop the company vis a vis overall changes in the gas industry. In gas underground storage business, it will be important to focus on increased flexibility of services in line with customer requirements and on further improvement of the safety of operations. In the area of exploration and production of hydrocarbons, we concentrate on effective production of stock in Slovakia and paralel to that, we shall work on identifying new opportunities to develop these activities in Slovakia and abroad“, stated Mr Martin Bartošovič, the new general manager starting 1 October 2012.
