NAFTA again participated at the largest gas trade fair WGC
The program of the twenty-seven year was primary focus of the most timely and topical, technical, commercial and strategic, issues and opportunities facing the gas industry under the theme “Fueling the Future“.
Expert discussions at the conference were attended by 600 speakers. At the trade fair, which is an accompanying event of the conference, on the area of 40 thousand square meters, presented 350 exhibitors from more than 100 countries. A new feature of the conference was topics for professionals working in sectors including finance, trading, law, sustainability & renewables and many more.
Representatives of the Sales and Marketing Section and of the Division of underground gas storage also spoke at the conference, thus confirming the competence of NAFTA in this area. At the end of the Conference, USA transferred the presidency of the International Gas Union (IGU) to the South Korea for the next three years, where the next WGC will be held in June of 2018.

The combination of favourable geological conditions and advantageous location of underground storage facilities of NAFTA close to the transit system supplying gas to Slovakia´s neighbours, sets ideal conditions for one of the key hubs of the European gas network.
The World Gas Conference (WGC) trade fair is the largest and most important event for the global gas industry. International Gas Union, the worldwide organization promoting progress in the gas industry, organizes WGC every three years since 1931. The conference and the trade fair bring together experts from dozens of countries, and they discuss the latest developments in technologies, strategies and opportunities for the gas industry.
