NAFTA co-organised the meeting of the International Business Congress (IBC)
IBC unites international financial and energy organisations from around the world and its history goes back to the early 1990s. IBC is led by its Chairman, Mr. A. B. Miller from Gazprom, and the individual specialised working groups are headed by management members of one of the most important gas companies in the world. The working group Industry and Construction is led by Oleg Jevgenievich Aksiutin, a member of Gazprom management, who is currently responsible for strategic planning and development management. O. J. Aksiutin in his address talked about several topics, starting with prognoses in the gas industry development, costs of projects and modern methods of road and infrastructure construction to the gas production. NAFTA was represented at the meeting by Ing. Ladislav Goryl. He introduced the underground gas storage facility Gajary-Baden.
Representatives of other partner gas companies from Slovakia also presented at the meeting – J. Horník from eustream, a.s. and Rastislav Prelec from SPP - Distribúcia, a.s.
NAFTA also organized for the participants an excursion to the Central station of underground gas storage Gajary that uses the state-of-the-art technology in comparison with European competitors. IBC guests evaluated this excursion highly positively.
