NAFTA a.s., which is a major operator of underground gas storage (UGS) facilities in Slovakia and in the Central European region, achieved after-tax profit of EUR 79.553 million in 2016.

NAFTA a.s. has held its traditional training of mining rescuers. The training took place at its site near Lozorno, where the mining rescuers practiced along with members of the Slovak Fire and Rescue Corps and invited volunteer fire brigades. The training focused on response to a gas eruption with fire during the well workover.

NAFTA attended the E-world energy & water exhibition for the fifth time. The exhibition took place from February 7 – 9, 2017 in Essen, Germany. This year, a record number of exhibitors, 710, presented their services and solutions to 25 000 visitors from 74 countries.
