Slovakia’s petroleum industry is celebrating 105 years since successful trials started in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, when crude oil was industrially produced for the first time. This year’s 105th anniversary of hydrocarbon exploration and production and the 45th anniversary of underground natural gas storage in Slovakia was the occasion to interview the Chief Executive Officer of NAFTA a.s. (NAFTA), Ing. Martin Bartošovič.
On June 25 - 29, 2018 NAFTA participated in the energy trade fair World Gas Conference (WGC), which took place in the country holding the Presidency of the International Gas Union (IGU), in Washington D.C.
NAFTA a.s. has held its traditional training of mining rescuers near Lozorno. The training was focused on fire extinguishing and damaged gate valve replacement on production tree of the observation well.
NAFTA a. s. with its long tradition in underground gas storage and in exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Slovakia, achieved after-tax profit of EUR 74.7 million in 2017.
