NAFTA entered the tender for the Vatazhkivska License through its Ukrainian NAFTA RV LCC subsidiary and with its successful bid at the electronic auction has acquired the license for the Vatazhkivska field located not far from the city of Poltava, Ukraine.

Today, NAFTA is positioning itself to be a universal European operator providing services throughout Europe at a guaranteed high level. In addition, it is active in power-to-gas, a key concept in Europe’s energy future.

NAFTA a.s. and Cub Energy Inc. have announced the start of the first of three planned exploration wells as part of its Uzhgorod license. All three wells will be drilled to a depth of between 1,500 and 1,900 meters.

This year, the training focused on extinguishing a gas well fire and special works on wells.

NAFTA a.s., Slovakia’s largest underground gas storage operator and a leader in exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the country, achieved after-tax profit of EUR 68,3 million in 2018.
